One of the greatest challenges facing an organization like the Maryland Gridiron Network is promtion - making potential members aware of who you are and what your mission is.

You can help us promote the MGN by downloading and using the products below. When someone sees one of them and asks you about the MGN you can let them know about all the great things we do and the wonderful benefits we enjoy. It's your chance to be a recruiter for the MGN!

Computer Desktop Wallpaper

Use one of the desktop wallpaper images below to help promote the MGN and at the same time keep all of the major MGN event dates at your fingertips.

Clicking on each of the file names above will display the desktop image in a browser window.  In order to use any of these images as the desktop background on your PC follow the instructions below.

1. Using the right button on your mouse, click once on top of the image you would like to download.
2. From the popup menu select 'Set as Background'.

The image you selected should now appear as the background on your desktop.  If the screen resolution on your PC is set to a size large than 800 x 600 then the image may have been 'stretched' or 'tiled'.  To adjust the background image on your desktop follow the steps below.

1. Using the right button on your mouse, click once on the desktop background.
2. From the popup menu select 'Properties'.
3. Click on the 'Desktop' tab in the popup window.
4. In the 'Position' drop-down field select 'Center'.
5. If you would like to you can adjust the color that surrounds the image by choosing a color from the 'Color' drop-down.
6. Click the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the window.
7. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the window.

Avatar/Buddy Icon

Make sure your friends know you are a Maryland Gridiron Network member when you are exchanging messages with them on any of the popular social networking sites. Download and start using one of the images below to proclaim yourself a proud member of the MGN. All of the images below have been sized at 48 pixels by 48 pixels - suitable for Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and AOL Instant Messanger.

To set one of the images above as your buddy icon, follow the steps below:

1. Right-click on the icon of your choice, and select "Save Picture As..." (This might look different on different browsers, but it'll be something like that).
2. Leaving the filename and file type alone, pick an easy-to-remember folder to save the picture in.
3. Upload the image you just saved to the social networking site and set it as your avatar.
