1895

• Maryland does not field a team.

1911

• H.C. "Curley" Byrd takes over as head coach (1911-1934).

1920

• Maryland plays in the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

1921

• Maryland joins the Southern Conference (1921-1951).

1937

• Maryland wins Southern Conference championship.
