Below are the events that helped shape Maryland Football from 1990-1999.

1990

• Maryland defeats then #25 West Virginia, 14-10.
• Maryland defeats then #8 Virginia, 35-30.
• Maryland ties Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl, 34-34.

1991

• A new football complex is completed just beyond the east end zone.

1992

• A bronze Terrapin installed in front of the team house in celebration of the 100th year of Maryland Football.

1995

• Seating capacity of Byrd Stadium increased 12,000 to 48,055 with the addition of an upper deck.

1997

• Chad Scott selected in the first-round of the NFL Draft.
